Transfer of Credit (TOC) in NIOS

What is TOC?
in NIOS through this option students can transference any two pass subjects from other board to NIOS after choosing this option student  should have to clear only three subjects in NIOS  

Transfer of Credit (TOC)
Ex-Secondary/Senior Secondary students of the following Boards of School Education who have passed in at least one subject, but have not qualified in the course, may seek admission in the respective course at NIOS and avail facility of TOC.

In addition to above boards, the learners who have passed at least one subject, but have not qualified in the course from recognised State Boards or Boards and equivalency granted by Association of Indian Universities (AIU) may seek TOC facility in maximum of two subjects provided their result data are available in the concerned Boards official website for verification. In case the result data is not available on the website, the learner will get his/her Transfer of Credit (TOC) data verified from the concerned Board and will submit the same with the Admission Application form.


The facility of TOC will be permissible under the following conditions:
(i) You will have the option to get the credit transferred to a maximum of two subjects, provided these subjects are passed with 33% in the last five years (i.e., passed during 2011 or later).
(ii) The credits will be given only in those subjects which are included in NIOS scheme of studies and the scheme of examination. TOC in the subjects having practicals at Senior Secondary level will be allowed only when you are pass in theory and practical separately.
(iii) You will have to give full details of the TOC subjects and marks obtained on the Admission Form.
(iv)You will have to attach the original mark sheet issued by the respective Board. Laminated marksheet
will not be accepted.

  1. National Institute Of Open Schooling DELED has released the admit card for exam NSIOS DELED 2019, for a diploma in elementary education. NIOS conducts DELED exam for the candidates who wish to pursue their career for working as a teacher for NIOS. It is observed that a lot of candidates appear for this exam every year.Candidates are advised to download the NIOS DELED Admit Card 2019 at the earliest as details such as the examination centre address and date and timing of the exams would be printed on it.
